There are a great many attractions in the Peak District, ranging from world heritage sites to stately homes to beautiful villages with babbling streams running through the middle of them to farm parks to traditional country pubs to show caves. Chatsworth House
Chatsworth house is the stately home of the Duke of Devonshire. Visitors can tour the house, or explore the gardens or the large grounds and estate. There are regular events at Chatsworth from the halls decorated at Xmas to the game fair to the RHS gardening show too. Check out their website for details. Cromford Mill
Cromford Mill is an award winning UNESCO world heritage site at Cromford, just a 20 minute drive from Croft Bungalow. Its also next to Cromford canal and there is a changing places public toilet right outside. See the Cromford mill website for up to date details.
Haddon Hall
Haddon Hall is a 14th century (considered to be one of the finest in the country) stately home just a 10 minute drive from Croft Bungalow. Matlock Farm Park
Matlock Farm Park is an award winning farm park just a 20 minute drive from Croft Bungalow. Among other awards it won the Visit Peak District & Derbyshire visitor attraction of the year. It has a variety of animals including a petting zoo, and hosts a variety of events throughout the year. Full details on the Matlock farm park website.
Crich Tramway Village
Crich Tramway Village hosts the national tramway museum and is a great day out. They have several working trams and a historical village, as well as a woodland walk and sculpture trail.
