Croft Bungalow sensory garden, wheelchair friendly and open country views

Accessible Peak District Cottage

Award winning accessible self-catering cottage (sleeps up to 4)  in the heart of the Peak District

Being just 10 minutes from Haddon hall,  15 minutes from Bakewell and Chatsworth and Buxton only 30 minutes away,  Croft bungalow is perfectly located to explore the Peak District.

Enjoy fabulous walking from the doorstep,  or any of the many nearby amazing locations and accessible days out that the Peak District has to offer.  Enjoy our south facing patio and sensory garden,  (an award winning space), landscaped with wheelchairs and power scooters in mind.   With its open country views its the perfect space for entertaining nearby friends or relatives if you prefer to let them do the travelling.

We have offroad parking right outside,  we welcome dogs by prior arrangement and there are two local wheelchair welcoming foodie pubs in the village, both less than 100 metres from our front door for those non cooking evenings.

Living Space

Our kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, oven and 4 ring hob, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle. Guests can eat in the kitchen or move the table next door to the lounge if they prefer.

The lounge is comfortable with a settee (that can pull down to be a double bed) two riser recliner chairs and a rocking chair. There are 200 channels on the FreeSat TV, free WiFi, and two side lamps as well as dimmer lamps to get the lighting just right.

The Double bedroom can be configured as a twin or a double, or as an electric profile bed and single bed. The single bedroom can be either the electric profile bed or the single.

The bottom of the garden is very quiet and dark in the still of the night – and we have had several guests who like to sit out in the dark of night with a hip flask – photographing star trails and making the most of the lack of light pollution.
